Install ccache:

sudo apt install ccache         # Debian/Ubuntu
brew install ccache             # macOS

ESP-IDF supports ccache to avoid recompiling unchanged files.

Enable it:

export IDF_CCACHE_ENABLE=1

Or add to your ~/.bashrc / ~/.zshrc:

export IDF_CCACHE_ENABLE=1
